This is for people who want the stretch of a big expedition that films usually cut. Objective hazard arrives without warning and without any relationship to how strong you are, and the episode sits with that. Skip it if you came for Honnold climbing. He is a traveler here, not a soloist, and the wall is on the far side.

What works is the ice fall. It is filmed, it is sudden, and the film does not dramatize it beyond what happened. The traverse that follows is slow and the episode is honest about the slowness. What it gets wrong is the title. The word deadly is doing work the footage does not need, and the episode without context assumes you know why anyone is on an ice cap at all.
