Eternal Flame

Eternal Flame is the long, multi‑pitch free line on the Nameless Tower in the Trango Towers group above the Baltoro Glacier. The climb combines short, technical free pitches with big‑wall logistics at high altitude: long hauls, fixed lines, exposed bivies and careful weather management. It is historically significant as a landmark on the tower and for later free‑climbing efforts; the route demands sustained technical movement on mostly blank granite and a rope‑team approach rather than a single‑pitch sport mindset.
