First Ascent in Yosemite Valley

Taylor Martin's own record of a new route she rope soloed on Sentinel Rock over July and August of 2025. Sentinel is the dark, serious face on the south side of Yosemite Valley, and a new line up it, established alone, is the kind of ascent that usually leaves no trace beyond a topo and a name. Martin posted the footage raw, without narration or edit-suite polish, so what you get is the work itself: hauling, jugging, the slow logistics of moving up a wall with no partner to swap leads with. It is a document rather than a production, and it is worth watching for exactly that reason if solo big wall aid climbing is what you came for.
