The BEST Climbing in Australia | ft. Jorg Verhoeven and Katha Saurwein

A travel sampler, and honest about being one. Jorg Verhoeven and Katha Saurwein spend nine minutes across the Grampians in Victoria and Tasmania, covering bouldering, sport and trad in short sequences with travel shots and voiceover between.

This is for climbers deciding whether to add either region to a trip list. The film gives a compact sense of line finding, movement and the logistics of climbing in two very different places, and it shows Verhoeven's and Saurwein's on-rock styles across three disciplines. Skip it if you want route histories or grades. None are called out, and the title's claim about the best climbing in Australia is not argued so much as assumed.

What works is the range. Three disciplines in two regions in nine minutes is efficient, and Louder Than Eleven's camerawork makes both places look worth the flight. What it gets wrong is depth. I could not tell you a single route from this film, and for a piece that wants to sell a destination that is a problem.
