A single, extremely difficult boulder problem that was presented in the source as a proposed 9a boulder (V17). Alphane represents an attempt to push the upper limit of bouldering grades in Switzerland; the film documents Shawn Raboutou’s work and eventual ascent. The problem is significant because of its proposed grade milestone and because it demonstrates the projection, micro‑sequencing and precise body positions required at the cutting edge of bouldering.
