Slayer is an unusual Little Cottonwood Canyon crack route defined by an extended sequence of kneebars that run for roughly a hundred feet beneath an overhanging roof. The line finishes on a back-facing crack that pinches toward tip holds through an inverted flare crux, demanding sustained body tension and awkward resting positions rather than pure finger strength. As a first ascent by Brent Barghahn in 2018, it is notable for its singular movement style—long, low-body kneebar shuffling—and for testing endurance in positions rarely sustained on other traditional granite routes.
