Zodiac is a long, sustained free route on El Capitan composed of roughly sixteen pitches of very hard climbing. Known for concentrating some of Yosemite's toughest moves into a single wall-length objective, it resisted repeated attempts and had seen very few free ascents prior to 2016. The route mixes sustained face and crack climbing across multiple sections and has been a test piece for climbers seeking hard El Cap free ascents.
